Friendly reminder that we don't actually have to wait for one to show up in the yard before we do something. I keep seeing "saw a coyote, oh well, they were here first" and I get it, but the ones trotting through the Portola Hills tract behind Saddleback Ranch aren't scared of people anymore, and that's on us. Bring the cat food bowls in, lock the trash, hose down the fallen avocados. It's not fearmongering to want fewer of them comfortable walking down my street at 6pm. Prevention now beats a sad post later.
