Small thing that's been working for us: I moved our dog's evening walk on the Beach Trail up to right after school pickup instead of dusk. Same loop, but we're back at the car before the light really drops. We still see the pair that dens up in the canyon brush near Calafia most weeks, but they hold their line on the ridge and we hold ours, and honestly Biscuit has stopped losing his mind about it. Our HOA over in Talega put out a nice reminder about not leaving cat food on patios and it seems like fewer people are doing that now. Feels like the neighborhood is getting the rhythm of it.

The timing shift is such an underrated move — I do the same on the Serrano trail here in Lake Forest, we're done well before the light goes and everyone's calmer for it. Nice to hear Talega got the patio-food reminder to actually stick, that's usually the hard part.
