If you've got fruit trees dropping right now, that's the fix hiding in plain sight. We had a mess of loquats rotting under the tree near our patio off Avenida Vaquero and were getting nightly visitors working the fence line. Raked it all up, kept the ground clear for a couple weeks, and the traffic just moved on. They're not after your yard, they're after the easy calories. Same goes for the water bowl and the cat kibble on the porch. Clear the buffet and you're mostly sharing the neighborhood on much better terms. Bins latched at the curb helps too, especially on collection morning down toward the pier.
